New Narratives: Reflections by Virgília Ferrão

I Am The Other Nigerian

In 2021, the New Narratives team put a call out for young artists from countries of Africa and the UK to submit project proposals that creatively interpret the New Narratives research as a way to disseminate the research and bridge the consumption gap amongst young people.

Jápa the documentary

Jápa explores the growing social trend of emigration in the Nigerian society with references to communication patterns, pop culture, poor government policies/practices, etc.

The New North'

The New North’ follows the lives of young people in Northern Ireland, who grew up after the Peace Process and are living with the legacy of the Troubles in Northern Ireland

The Exchange: An Animated short film

The exchange is an animated short film that explores cultural exchange between a group of young Africans and Britons.

Sawubona from the other side

'Sawubona from the Other Side, explores the life of an interracial couple, one based in Zimbabwe, the other based in Wales.
