As Egypt looks to strengthen the quality and effectiveness of its TVET system, the British Council are pleased to announce an opportunity for a UK skills organisation to partner with Egypt’s national TVET accreditation body, ETQAAN. The partnership will focus on providing capacity strengthening support as ETQAAN begins the task of accrediting all TVET institutions and programmes across Egypt. Specifically, the partnership will share expertise and UK best practice and support ETQAAN as they develop and implement a curriculum to strengthen the capacity and consistency of internal and external accreditors.

In 2025, Egypt’s TVET accreditation body, ETQAAN, published the national standards for TVET institutions and programmes. As TVET providers begin to ensure they meet these standards, the British Council are pleased to announce the opportunity for a UK skills organisation to partner with an Egyptian TVET provider to share UK best practice in areas such as quality assurance, and monitoring, evaluation, and learning. The partnership will provide capacity strengthening and quality assurance support through mentorship, webinars, reciprocal visits, and other activities, to support the provider in meeting new national standards.

Automotive engineering is a national priority in Ghana, driven by the Government’s industrialisation agenda, the National Automotive Development Policy, a growing vehicle assembly ecosystem, and investment in technical education. As Ghana seeks to strengthen its TVET systems and build automotive engineering workforce capability and capacity, the British Council is pleased to announce an opportunity for a UK skills organisation to partner with Ghana’s Automotive Sector Skills Body. The partnership will explore how effective employer engagement and the innovative application of technology, with a focus on clean energy and sustainability, can support co-curriculum design and delivery that meets labour market needs. Specifically, it will strengthen industry relevance within the curriculum, support the dual professional updating of teachers and trainers, and enhance the learner experience, enabling individuals to develop the knowledge, technical and green skills, and behaviours required for diverse roles in the automotive engineering sector.

As Malawi seeks to strengthen its TVET system and build workforce capability and capacity in the Advanced Manufacturing sector, the British Council is pleased to announce an opportunity for a UK skills organisation to partner with the Ministry of Labour, Skills and Innovation and relevant TVET stakeholders, to explore how effective employer engagement can strengthen alignment between education and labour market needs. Specifically, the partnership will support co-curriculum design, development and delivery to ensure industry relevance, the enhancement of opportunities for dual professional updating of teachers and trainers through effective employer engagement, while strengthening TVET systems and institutional capacity, and building workforce capability and capacity in the Advanced Manufacturing sector.

In 2030, Morocco is set to co-host the FIFA World Cup. To support the development of a workforce capable of delivering a global event, the British Council are pleased to announce two opportunities for UK skills organisations to collaborate with Moroccan TVET providers across areas such as sustainable tourism, hospitality skills, and events and sports management. It is anticipated the partnerships will focus on identifying skills gaps and supporting TVET providers to address these gaps through sharing of UK best practice, webinars, and reciprocal visits.

As Uganda looks to strengthen its TVET systems and build agricultural workforce capability and capacity, the British Council are pleased to announce an opportunity for a UK skills organisation to partner with three organisations in Western Uganda- Rwentanga Agricultural College, Rwampara Farm Institute, and Kitagata Farm Institute to explore how effective employer engagement, and innovative application of technology, can enable co-curriculum design, planning, and delivery to meet labour market needs. Specifically, the partnership will seek to strengthen industry relevance in the curriculum, supporting dual professional updating of teachers and trainers, while enriching and enhancing the learners experience, so that individuals develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours to be work ready for diverse roles in the agriculture sector.
