'How can TVET work effectively with the private sector in fast-changing economies?'
British Council is delighted to invite you to the VET Toolbox International Seminar on 23-25 November 2021.
Join a global audience of leading Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) experts, senior policy-makers, lead employers and education leaders for a series of inspiring and interactive sessions designed to address the over-arching question, ‘How can TVET work effectively with the private sector in fast-changing economies?’
The free online seminar will focus primarily on Sub-Saharan Africa and will be of relevance to those stakeholders working in or with the region, or with countries around the world with similar opportunities and challenges.
The modular event is designed for you to hand pick the sessions that you would like to attend. There will be opportunities throughout to quiz experts, share your experience, contribute through interactive polling, and network one-to-one with fellow participants.
The seminar will have a strong practical focus and will cover a number of key topics including:
- how best to create an enabling environment for private sector engagement in TVET
- how best to enhance skills through different approaches including Public Private Partnerships and Sector Skills Councils
- how best to support the creation of new jobs and industries within the informal economy and Small to Medium-Scale Enterprises.
