George Pickering joined the Scheme as an inspector in 1999. He has a BA, a BSc, a PGCE (English), and an MA in Second Language Learning and Teaching. George also has diplomas in counselling, coaching and management.He worked as an ELT teacher in Algeria, Libya and London and was a senior teacher, a teacher trainer, a marketing manager and a director in accredited schools and is the manager of the Professional Development Centre of International House London.
Dr Diane Phillips joined the Scheme as an inspector in 2000. She has an MA (Geography) and a PGCE in secondary education (Cambridge University); an MA and PhD in Applied Linguistics (University of London); a post graduate certificate in child psychology (Stanford University) and the DTEFLA. She has worked for the Bell Educational Trust as a teacher, teacher trainer, and manager. Her final position was that of Head of Academic Management, UK schools, and Head of the Young Learner Department.
