His previous roles include Principal of ELC Chester, EL teacher and manager in the FE sector, secondary school teacher in Hong Kong, HE lecturer and CELTA trainer, and board member of English UK. He is currently an inspector with the Scheme

Rhona Hodgart

Inspector since 2016. BA, PGCE, DipRSA, MA. Taught with BC in Ukraine/Azerbaijan. Senior Lecturer in ESOL at Anniesland College, and a management role in Glasgow Caledonian University’s International Office. She is currently an Associate Lecturer at Glasgow Clyde College, an international ESOL and SELT examiner for Trinity College London, and an advisor on a Scottish Government skills recognition project.

Rod Revell

Inspector since 2006. Former Head of ELTU, University of Warwick. Former Director, Centre for Professional and Business English, Hong Kong Polytechnic University
Co-author of six textbooks (CUP & OUP). MA in ELT and Linguistics, University of Leeds. Previous tutor in academic writing at Coventry University & lecturer on the MA Applied Linguistics & TESOL lecturer at Leicester University.

Stuart Pollard

Inspector since 2018. BA Philosophy, DELTA, MA Inclusive Education. Roles in UK/Portugal/Hungary/Maldives: teacher, trainer, DoS, principal, CELTA trainer. Now runs nonprofits on inclusion, freelance trainer/consultant.

Viv Canal

Inspector since 2018. Holds MA Philosophy, BA English Lit, DELTA, DELTM. Over 20 years of experience in UK/overseas ELT, including principal, manager, and teacher roles. Experience in BC test development, EUK consultancy, Philosophy Foundation, and CDMT assessor.
