The British Council is inviting suitably qualified UK further education colleges or training organisations to apply for a new grant-funded International Skills Partnership in South Africa.
This is an excellent opportunity for a UK-based further education college or training organisation looking to build a network and capacity to work internationally. The successful applicant will be eligible for £30,000 of grant funding to support partnership activities (reciprocal visits between the UK and South Africa, staff time (limited to 30% of the grant), development of tools and resources, etc).
The UK-based skills organisation will partner with Port Elizabeth TVET College in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. Partners will explore how leadership development can be intentionally integrated into entrepreneurship support for women students and graduates within the TVET sector.
The British Council teams in the UK and in South Africa will provide ongoing advice and guidance throughout the partnership to help facilitate communication and deliver maximum benefit.
The project will run for a duration of 12 months from the end of March 2026.
The call for proposals is part of the British Council’s Going Global Partnerships programme which builds stronger, more inclusive, internationally connected higher education and TVET systems by supporting partnerships between universities, colleges, education policy makers, civil society organisations and industry partners around the world.
