This 1 hour 30 minute webinar recording is for anyone interested in environment-focused university courses and career paths. It is aimed at audiences in East Asia but may be of interest to people in other parts of the world too.

In the webinar, three professionals from East Asia, all of whom studied in the UK, share how they built a successful career in the green industries. These speakers are:

  • Wilson Ang (Singapore): General Manager at Association of Singapore Marine Industries
  • Nguyen Phuong Thao (Vietnam):  Co-Founder and COO of Nguyen Khoi Farm
  • Jhud Mikhail Aberilla (Philippines): Educator and researcher (Assistant Professor at University of the Philippines) working in sustainable production and consumption, with a focus on developing communities.

There is also information from the University of Exeter on climate change-related courses and the careers such courses can lead to. This is presented by Prof Lars Johanning, Professor of Ocean Technology.

This webinar is part of a series that the British Council is holding in 2021 exploring pathways to green careers, with a particular focus on the UK's higher education offering in this space.
