Marking 90 years of the British Council, the 90 Youth Voices project will create an international network of change makers, passionate about tackling the global challenges that affect us all.

A part of the Youth Connect Global Programme, British Council’s 90 Youth Voices for the Future brought together in the UK 84 young activists, journalists, content creators, artists, technology experts, researchers and entrepreneurs from 43 countries. The group spent two days is London and three days in one of the 4 nations (Belfast, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Manchester) as they discussed the role of young people in shaping the future of their communities.

The young people heard from policy makers, civil society and youth organisations from across the UK. Returning home they will have opportunities to put in practice learnings in their own communities and inspire others. They help ensure that young people are at the centre of shaping the future of their communities and cities. The inspirations also turn into opportunities that they can apply a range of skills including communication skills, research, intercultural intelligence and digital citizenship.

Our ambition is to stay connected to ‘The 90’ long after the end of the event, engaging them in future British Council activities.
