The Alumni UK Climate Grant Programme was launched in 2025 to fund early-stage projects with proven potential, led by Alumni UK members, to develop and scale their initiatives.
20 projects were funded from 12 countries. Whilst these projects are diverse, they are connected, not just by climate action, but climate action that builds relationships, strengthens communities and supports equity and inclusion. The projects are bridging generations, communities and knowledge systems through their work. They are also focused on widening participation and voice and ensuring that the people who ultimately benefit from the projects are those who are most need it most.
The project teams are also connected as a global community of practice. They are contributing to a shared research project, guided by the question, “How can we build communities and strengthening inclusion through climate action?” The learning report will be a significant outcome of the Grant Programme.
