Katie is a Future of English Researcher, based in Stratford, London. She has an academic background in English Language, Applied Linguistics, and Language Assessment. Katie has completed her PhD at CRELLA (the Centre for Research in English Language Learning and Assessment) at the University of Bedfordshire. She also holds a BA and an MA from the University of Reading, where she received both the Alan Tonkyn Dissertation Award and the Prize for Outstanding Academic Achievement in recognition of her academic excellence. Katie’s research interests include speaking assessment and speaking skills, multimodality, digital communication, and embodied resources in language use and learning.
