Prof. Rajani Naidoo

Rajani Naidoo is Professor in Higher Education Management and Director of the International Centre for Higher Education Management. Professor Naidoo holds a UNESCO Chair in Higher Education Management, sits on the research and development committee of the European Foundation for Management Development and is Visiting Professor at Nelson Mandela University, South Africa. Her scholarship and research grants have focussed on higher education, social justice and the public good.

Dr Joanna Newman

Dr Joanna Newman MBE FRSA

Joanna is Chief Executive and Secretary General of the Association of Commonwealth Universities. Previous posts include Vice-Principal (International) at King’s College London, Director of Universities UK International and Head of Higher Education at the British Library. Joanna remains a Senior Research Fellow at King’s College and an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Southampton. She sits on the Editorial Board of the Round Table and is Advisor to the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust.

Prof. Colin Riordan

Colin Riordan took up the post of President and Vice-Chancellor at Cardiff University on 1 September 2012. Previously he was Vice-Chancellor of the University of Essex. Professor Riordan is Chair of The Conversation (UK) and Vice-Chair of the Association of Commonwealth Universities. He is a Fulbright Commissioner and a member of the Edge Foundation Board. He chairs Universities UK’s Outward Student Mobility Advisory Board and the Welsh Higher Education Brussels Board.

Professor Shiela Rowan

Prof. Sheila Rowan

Professor Sheila Rowan is, since 2009, Director of the Institute for Gravitational Research at the University of Glasgow, having previously held research positions split between Stanford University and Glasgow. She is, (2021-23) President of the UK Institute of Physics and a former Chief Scientific Advisor to the Scottish Government (2016-21). She received a CBE in 2021 for ‘services to science’ and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of London, and Royal Society of Edinburgh.
