What is Future Leaders Connect?

Future Leaders Connect is a pioneering policy and leadership programme for exceptional individuals from around the world, who are aged between 25-35. We are building a global network of emerging policy leaders connected over the long term to realise substantial change on today’s global challenges. With 150 members so far and tens of thousands of people involved in our online community, Future Leaders Connect is bringing people together to lead change through policymaking.

“The impressive British Council’s Future Leaders Connect members were motivated, passionate and eloquent in their proposals to change their societies for the better. They reminded me that the rest of us have a responsibility to ensure that the coming generations have every chance to meet their potential to the fullest extent.”

Ban-Ki Moon, Deputy Chair of The Elders, former UN Secretary-General and former South Korean Foreign Minister

Crucially, you will develop an action plan to take your policy change forward, whilst learning about leadership styles and approaches, and the international networks needed to be an influential leader

To apply, you must be aged 25-35 and live in one of our participating countries: Brazil, Canada, Ethiopia, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Poland, Tunisia and the UK.

"I can’t describe a better experience, professionally, or personally. Be ready to change the world, because it you have a policy, if you have a vision, then this is the programme for you."
