Foundation and Intermediate level
Applications are open all year.
Accreditation and Reaccreditation Level
Important changes to Accreditation and Reaccreditation level due to Covid-19
- We will leave the current application deadlines open and schools that have completed their activities in full can submit their applications and be considered for Accreditation and Reaccreditation this year
- As a one-off exception for schools that have started applying this school year, we will allow them to continue their international work for ISA into the next school year (2020-21) and submit their Impact Evaluation with next years’ deadlines in June-July 2021. Schools that will continue with the application next school year, can submit applications with activities spanning over the two school years, meaning that schools can use the activities they have already completed this year and will have time to re-establish links with partner schools
- We will extend the accredited status by one year for all schools that are due Reaccreditation now and are applying at the moment. This means that the accredited status will be valid till 31 August 2021. If schools apply for Reaccreditation before the deadline this year and are successful, they will be awarded the standard three year renewal.
The action plan describes the activities you intend to undertake as part of your application for the award. You will receive feedback on the plan within six weeks of submission deadline.
You will also have to submit an Impact Evaluation at the end of the academic year.
The submission deadline for the 2019-2020 academic year was 10 November 2019. However, if you have missed the deadline, you can still apply!
You will have to complete a Statement of Intent and then an Impact Evaluation to receive the International School Award.
Statement of intent
The Statement of Intent is a shorter form, informing your school of the criteria and commitment needed for the Accreditation/Reaccreditation level.
This option is also ideal for schools who are confident their planned activities are eligible and don’t require feedback.
At the end of the academic year, schools applying for Accreditation/Reaccreditation must submit an Impact Evaluation.
You must demonstrate the impact of the activities on learners, teachers and the community.
Impact evaluation deadlines:
The deadlines for 2019-2020 academic year are 14 June 2020 or 19 July 2020.
