What is Aptis ESOL?

Aptis ESOL is regulated by Ofqual (The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation), the UK government body responsible for qualifications in England.

Aptis ESOL is available in the following variants:

Aptis ESOL General
A general English test for candidates over 16 years old. It assesses levels from A1 to B2 on the CEFR. Candidates who perform above B2 receive a C1 certificate. 

Aptis ESOL Advanced
Designed for higher-level learners, this test covers B1 to C2. Tasks are more challenging to clearly distinguish between C1 and C2 levels.

Aptis ESOL for Teachers
Tailored for the education sector, this version includes teaching-related content. It follows the same format as Aptis ESOL General and assesses A1 to B2, with C1 awarded to those performing above B2.
