Thank you to everyone who joined our festival in 2023 - the pupils and students, their teachers and parents and the expert judges. We look forward to welcoming you all in 2024. Sign up to our Schools newsletter to hear when we will open for contributions.

Our celebration event was held on 4 May 2023 and featured nine outstanding presentations representing nine languages; these were the submissions that our judges picked as the best of the best! Which languages do you know and which ones would you like to learn?

Check out our video of the event via the link below.

How do you join our festival?

Practise and celebrate a language you are learning or use in your community, and take part in a virtual festival of speaking!

Look out for our announcement of the 2024 festival dates; sign up to our newsletter to be the first to hear.

Prepare a short poem, presentation, sketch or dialogue in the target language. This can be a solo or joint performance but should be no longer than 90 seconds in total.

Record yourself delivering the performance. Participants under the age of 16 should use PowerPoint slides, Bitmoji, images or video, rather than showing their faces.

Upload your performance to Twitter or Facebook with the hashtags #CelebrateSpeaking and the language chosen (e.g. #Polish).

Remember to use the hashtag or we won’t be able to find your performance!
