Girls’ education is a catalyst for sustainable socioeconomic progress.
We are committed to expanding access to quality education for women and girls, addressing gender disparities in access, inclusion and learning outcomes. Working through communities and strategic partners in regions such as South and Southeast Asia, Middle East and North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa, we engage with women and girls, helping them to develop knowledge, skills and confidence to participate equally and meaningfully in education and the economy.
With initiatives like English and Digital for Girls’ Education (EDGE), Secondary Teachers English Language Improvement Rwanda (STELIR) and Leading Learning for Gender Equality (LL4GE), we help to close gender gaps by sensitising key stakeholders such as tutors, teachers and school leaders towards inclusive teaching and training, and empowering women and girls by developing their English and life skills. Together we drive systemic change and scale programmes that ensure equal opportunities for all learners.
We work directly with local partners, teachers, school leaders and other members of the community including women and girls themselves to champion girls' education and create inclusive, supportive learning environments. Our programmes embed innovative learning approaches to develop English and life skills for women and girls and provide gender-sensitive training, practical tools and inclusive teaching materials to help educators foster equality in their classrooms. By empowering local schools and supporting young women’s personal and educational development, we help girls gain the skills needed to thrive which benefits not just the students but entire communities. Together, we build learning spaces where everyone can succeed.
