Two women playing football.

Let’s celebrate the achievements of women footballers in Ewro2025 with this exciting learning pack, inspired by the Wales Women’s National Football Team’s qualification for Ewro2025 – their first major tournament.

Developed by the British Council, in collaboration with the Football Association of Wales (FAW) and funded by the Welsh Government’s Euro 2025 Partner Support Fund, this resource supports key curriculum areas while promoting languages, gender equality and international collaboration.

About the Ewro2025 classroom resource pack

The pack is designed for students aged between 9 and 13. The lessons plans, activities and resources support common curriculum areas in the UK and the European countries who have qualified including Languages, Literacy and Communication, Health and Well-being, and Humanities.

Learners will:

  • discover European languages spoken at the tournament, and key football vocabulary
  • build teamwork and communication skills
  • celebrate cultural diversity and inclusion
  • reflect on the achievements of women in sport.

This pack also encourages discussion on the themes of empowerment and equality, using the success of the Wales Women’s Team and women’s football across Europe to inspire ambition, representation, and pride among all learners.

Did you know? Completing just one classroom activity from this pack qualifies your school for the Foundation Level of the International School Award.
