Building on the impact of the CEFR (2001) and the excitement around the CEFR CV (2020), this first edition of the Handbook is ready to support alignment projects across the language education community. 

Educators, institutions, and other stakeholders are encouraged to not only use the Handbook but also share their experiences and feedback on how it works in practice. Insights from these and other community contributions will help shape a revised edition of the Handbook – making it even more practical, useful, and grounded in the realities of language teaching and learning.
