We are excited to announce an upcoming regional discussion on women’s participation in South Asia’s technology sector. The ICT industry is one of the region’s fastest growing, contributing nearly 46% of service exports in 2024. Yet, women remain underrepresented, with less than 20% of the workforce in tech roles and even fewer in leadership positions.
This interactive session will bring together regional leaders and practitioners to explore:
- The state of gender parity in South Asia’s digital economy
- Barriers and enablers for women entering and advancing in tech
- Ongoing initiatives that foster equity, including the British Council’s work under the EU TVET IV programme
- What the next decade might hold for women in digital

- Murtaza Zaidi – Founder & CEO, Cyber Vision (Pakistan)
