Following the publication of the DexEU paper Collaboration on science and innovation, the British Council has issued the following statement.

Dr Daniel Korbel, Global Head of Science at the British Council, said: “This is a positive first glance at how cultural cooperation between Britain and Europe will be shaped outside of the European Union, to our mutual social and economic benefit.’’

“Partners of the British Council, on both sides of the Channel, have expressed a strong desire to continue well-supported collaboration and exchange in the sciences, arts and education.

“Britain has repeated that it is leaving the EU, not Europe, and further funding and cooperation in these fields, in which we are a vital player, will prove our intention to remain an active and committed partner.”
