An excellent opportunity to connect and engage with senior British Council representatives from Southeast Asia who will share their insights and expertise of this dynamic region. Gain a deeper understanding of the great potential Southeast Asia has to offer, learn more about possible partnership opportunities and add your voice to our planning towards 2025 through engaging panel discussions and networking opportunities.
As the UK’s international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities, the British Council is well-placed to help foster strong relations and act as an enabler to build long lasting connections. It is with this in mind that we are launching a series of Opportunity Southeast Asia events in the UK, involving senior representatives from the Southeast Asia region, including Country Directors and regional heads of Strategic Business Units representing the Arts, Education and Society and English. The core purpose of Opportunity Southeast Asia Conversations will be to engage and connect with key stakeholders and initiate discussions, particularly around potential opportunities across the broad spectrum of education, research, science, the creative economy and social innovation.
During the event, the British Council delegation will share their insights and expertise of the group of countries that make up the diverse region of Southeast Asia. A focus on specific case studies and panel discussions will highlight the types of opportunities and potential partnerships that could be developed. We also view this very much as a listening exercise and an excellent opportunity to get to the heart of understanding what you want and need.
The countries represented at the roadshow will include Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. However, if required, discussions could also cover Brunei, Cambodia and Laos. Having laid the foundations, there will be opportunities, during a series of follow-up events over the course of the next 12 months, to further cement these relationships and build mutually beneficial partnerships.
