We are hosting a networking event between UK institutions and Lagos State Government.

The Lagos State Government (LASG) has informed the British Council of its desire to partner with international institutions to support its ambition to set up international standard higher education institutions within Lagos.  In view of this, the State government is looking to meet and engage with UK institutions with strong ODL programmes.

Also, as part of its wider education strategy, LASG has set out to comprehensively restructure the TVET system within the state and are seeking prospective investors and collaborators to lend their expertise or resources, set up vocational training centres, and help infuse global best practices into the Lagos State TVET system.

As a show of commitment and further support of these initiatives, the government is willing to support interested institutions by fast-tracking relevant set-up procedures and providing necessary facilities and infrastructure.

Objective

To identify potential partners (UK institutions) that LASG can work with to achieve their objectives as set out above.

Format

The British Council will create a market place where top officials from LASG and the state ministry of education can pitch their plan and strategy to relevant representatives within the UK Higher and Further Education sector. Opportunities will also exist during the course of the meeting for both groups to ask questions around structure, policy and regulation.

Eligibility

Pro-Vice Chancellors, Heads of International Office.

How to register
