Role overview
About the project
The overall objective of the contract is to strengthen Ukrainian civil society through enhancing the role of civil society organisations in promoting and monitoring democratic reform and inclusive socio-economic development in Ukraine. More specifically, the contract will provide assistance for the implementation of EU's civil society programmes and projects in Ukraine, including those under the Ukraine Civil Society Support Programme. The contract will include capacity building and training components, technical assistance to recipients of EU grant funds, and support to civil society actors in the context of the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.
About the role
The Team Leader role is anticipated to be a 2 year full-time position for the duration of this EC service contract.
Qualifications and experience required
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Social Sciences
- 10 or more years of professional experience to include working with civil society actors and/or working on civil society strengthening projects
- Two or more years of professional experience in a managerial position (i.e. Team Leader) in EU funded technical assistance contracts
- Experience in projects for Civil Society Dialogue actions between EU and non-EU countries
- Good command of written and spoken English
Desirable
- Master’s degree and/or PhD in International Relations, Political Sciences, EU Affairs or Communications
- Ability to speak Ukrainian and/or Russian
- Five or more years of professional experience in Ukraine or Eastern Partnership countries
- Experience in projects for Civil Society Dialogue actions between the EU and Ukraine or other Eastern Partnership countries
