Role overview
About the Project
British Council Pakistan is aiming to undertake situation analyses with respect to its eight result areas i.e. Arts, English, Higher Education and Science, Women and Girls, Skills and Enterprise, Young People, Civil Society and Justice, and Testing and Assessment. This situation analysis focuses on two result areas i.e. Skills and Enterprise and Young People (for the other six result areas, please see this link).
The situation analysis will be based on a review of existing knowledge on Pakistan and other relevant countries, and will require the following elements: problem identification, cause-effect problem analysis, results trees, identification of interventions required to achieve results, donor identification and identification of knowledge gaps.
By helping us to understand the current situation and develop possible choices for the future, this research shall inform British Council Pakistan’s programme and project level planning regarding skills, enterprise and young people.
About the role
Suppliers are expected to apply their specialist knowledge on skills, enterprise, and young people to identify focal problems, the causes and effects of these focal problems, the interventions required to address the focal problems as well as their causes and effects, relevant donors and knowledge gaps to inform such exercises in the future. Suppliers are expected to illustrate their analysis in the form of a problem tree and subsequently a results tree, which should show SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound) results. It is essential that the supplier uses existing knowledge, especially on the latest thinking regarding the result areas. Detailed Requests for Proposals (RFPs) can be accessed through this link.
