Linking Scotland and China

The Scotland China School Links Programme is funded by the Scottish Government. A pilot phase ran from April 2005 to March 2008 with a focus on the following aims:

to establish sustainable links that will impact on the development of the schools involved
to provide professional development opportunities for staff
to enrich the curriculum and support language awareness and learning

Discussions are currently ongoing regarding the development of future school linking activities with China within the framework of a Curriculum for Excellence and the planned network of Confucius Classrooms across Scotland.
