eTwinning Quality Label
The Quality Label is awarded to schools to recognise good practice in eTwinning projects.

If you think that your eTwinning project deserves an extra mark of success, then you can apply for the National Quality Label through your eTwinning Desktop under the section ‘My Projects’. If you have more than one project that you think deserves the Quality Label, then simply fill out an application for each.
The National Support Service (NSS) in each country evaluates applications from schools for the National Quality Label.

Please submit your 2008/2009 Quality Label application by the 18th May for the National Awards. You can find out more about last years National Award winners here.

What are the benefits?

There’s concrete recognition for the school’s European collaborative work which can give a boost to pupils’ motivation, reward teachers’ commitment and enhance the school’s profile.
The achievement can be used to lead to further accreditation through the International School Award.
Each school gaining the Quality Label will receive three complimentary 1GB Flash Drives.
Each project gaining the Quality Label during the school year will be automatically put forward for the annual UK eTwinning awards held in June.
Schools gaining the Quality Label can be considered for the project of the month feature on this website which helps others get ideas of how to make a successful project work.

How to apply for the eTwinning Quality Label

Make sure you have registered your partnership on the etwinning portal.
Keep your Twinspace up to date with all project work and it may help to publish your Twinspace. You can ask the eTwinning team for more advice.
Fill in the online Quality Label application, which you can access from the My Projects section of your eTwinning Desktop
Make sure that you include links to any websites, blogs, wikis etc that you have produced as part of your project.

The following criteria are assessed:

Use of ICT within the project
Project Outcomes
Curricular integration
Partner Collaboration
Innovation/creativity
Sustainability

When will I hear the outcome?

Your application will be acknowledged by email and usually within 1 month you’ll receive email notification of our decision. There‘s an electronic certificate which can be displayed on the school website. The certificate and your application form are visible next to the school in the eTwinning map located the home page of the eTwinning Portal.

European Quality Label

The European Quality Label is a second mark of success and is awarded automatically by the Central Support Service to schools in a project where at least two partners have already received the National Quality Label. This European Label is awarded twice a year and featured through the eTwinning Portal.
