Christelle Bernard
eTwinning logo I have participated to 2 etwinning projects: First was a classic penpal model where pupils exchanged letters and where mine created a short chat show using questions their French friends had asked. Lasted 2 years . Second was based around the European Football championship and was completed in French with a German school.
I have just started a new project with a cluster of school this time. I also attended the national conference a year ago in Nottingham and an international workshop in Paris last June. I participated in an information workshop last term organised by eTwinning and the SEELB

I am a French teacher in a Secondary School in Oldham. Our school is what would be considered very mixed in ability and backgrounds of the pupils. However, most pupils responded really well to some actual "real" French teenagers and loved taking part in our project. We are linked to a school in the South of France and both sides have benefited enormously.

We have just won runners up at the National Awards, which is pleasing as it was our first attempt.

I have used etwinning as a way of engaging disaffected youngsters aged 13 – 16 years old in my Biology classes with great success.  The students have created their own personas using Vokis and Wikispaces and exchanged materials with their peers around Europe on binge drinking.  This was a unique experience for some of these students to ‘meet’ other students from other countries who have the same needs and experiences.  The whole etwinning set up is fantastic for enhancing the curriculum and for Scotland, greatly compliments the ethos and aspirations of A Curriculum for Excellence.

This session we have moved away from the Health and Social wellbeing side into exercise and eco issues.  Students have to design an eco garden model using recycle materials and share this with the partners via an animation and photographs to compare how eco friendly the schools are. I also have a Comenius project on Citizenship, Enterprise and Comparative Health set up on the etwinning space to swop materials

Enda Macklin
enda macklin I first got involved in eTwinning at a workshop in Helsinki.  I met a partner school there and we developed a project idea.  Although this project was never completed it was successful in that it introduced me and my pupils to the eTwinning tools and to the possibilities for developing future projects.  Using the same type of project outline I am currently searching for new partner schools. In May last year I attended the National Conference in Nottingham and benefited greatly from the ICT training and the contacts made there.
Jacqui Crooks
I am a Teacher of Computing and ICT at Shawlands Academy, a large multi-ethnic secondary school on the south side of Glasgow, Scotland.  I am currently running an etwinning project with an ICT class (age 12-13), and we have twinned with College Lafayette, Brioude, France.  The project “Culture in a Box” delivers the ICT curriculum as students share information about their cultures & lifestyles while developing their French language skills.  Other departments in the school are likely to be embarking on e-twinning projects in the coming session.

eTwinning Project - Cooperation in a small project of digital storytelling based around simple, conversational language exchange with a school in Germany.

I have hosted training sessions in the effective use of digital storytelling (in an educational context) in E twinning using moviemaker,, Photostory. and photo shop.

Moncef Fakhfakh
moncef fakhfajk I have set up a platform on Ning for my Comenius project which involves 11 partner countries. They are all contributing to the platform. Eventually student voice will take over the platform to disseminate good practice from all the schools and to share cultures. All of the partners have joined up and started to post photos, music, videos etc. This is strengthening the friendship before the partnership starts in earnest. I am also an SSAT Lead Practitioner and will share and disseminate good numeracy practice across all academies in this country via Etwinning.

Nicholas Falk
Nicholas Falk My background is Science/Chemistry but my present educational focus is ICT and e-learning. Engaging with eTwinning has provided a vehicle for exploring the use of these pedagogical approaches in improving learning for students in an international context. A multimedia science project with an Italian school and a podcasting project with schools in Reunion Island, Italy and Spain have been recognised as as successful examples of eTwinning.

Richard knight We made contact with a school in Holland through E Twinning. It is a really fast and reliable service. When you receive an e-mail you get an alert on your normal everyday e-mail service.
The Bonn Conference was absolutely fantastic and it was a real eye opener as to how E Twinning has involved so many countries and schools.
Through Global Gateway we also have a partner school in South Africa. Last year our school won the Full International School Award.
