The TVETARABIA website is an initiative of the Technical and Training Vocational Corporation of Saudi Arabia and the British Council, working in partnership with Ministries and agencies throughout the Gulf. It was formally launched in Saudi Arabia in January 2009.

The website was created in response to the high priority all countries of the Gulf and the UK are now placing on building modern and effective vocational education and training systems in order to develop in their workforces the skills necessary to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

TVETARABIA provides high-quality, up-to-date information to users within the Gulf and the UK about all aspects of vocational education and training in the constituent countries. The main goals of the website are to increase knowledge, share good practice and promote cooperation between the Gulf and the UK and within the Gulf itself.

The website is aimed at all those interested in the development of vocational education and training in the UK and the Gulf, including policy-makers, practitioners, businesses, NGOs, and staff and students of educational institutions.
