Wales International Young Artist Award
What is it about?
Are you a young artist aged 17-25 living in Wales? Would you like to exhibit your work at a national and international level?
Through the Wales International Young Artist Award you could enter a competition with other young artists to participate for a cash prize of £500.
All entries to the Wales International Young Artists Award must reflect, interpret or be inspired by the theme “Wales and the World.”
Entries can be submitted from one of seven categories: film, photography, graphic design, printmaking, sculpture, drawing and painting.
Where can I go?
This programme takes place in Wales. An overall winner will be selected from the shortlist in November 2013 and will get the opportunity for his/her work to have an international platform through our network of offices in six continents and over 100 countries.
What does it cost?
Absolutely nothing. However, by participating you could win a cash prize of £500.
Am I eligible?
Artists who are Welsh born and/or Welsh resident, between the ages of 17-25 are eligible to participate. Proof of age may be required.
What is the availability?
There is no limit to the number of people who can apply to this initiative.
What is the application deadline?
February 1st, 2013 - Competition opens
September 30th, 2013 - Entry deadline - Jurors announced
November 2013 - Results announced
