Wales - Lesotho teacher training programme

What is it about?

If you are a qualified teacher practicing in a school in Wales you may be interested in taking your skills to Southern Africa! Placements last a minimum of three months and provide applicants with a truly life affirming chance to teach or mentor abroad.

What does it cost?

Successful applicants will receive £625 per month, which will more than cover accommodation and food. The mentor teacher will receive £1100 per month.

It is worth noting that if you do a placement for longer than six months your insurance and return flights will be covered.

 

Am I eligible?

If you are a qualified teacher in Wales you are eligible. If you are studying to be a teacher, you must be qualified the September before you depart.

 

What is the availability?

There are six places per year.

 

What is the application deadline?

The deadline for applications was midday 28 June 2013. Interviews will be held in Cardiff in September. 

Successful applicants will leave in January 2014.
