What is it about?

Are you a student or graduate looking for a completely different experience? Are you interested in studying in China?

The British Council China is offering up to fifteen scholarships as part of Generation UK, a new campaign to encourage and support UK student mobility to China. The British Council China Scholarship is available for outstanding British students who wish to study at mainland Chinese universities in 2013-14.

 

Where can I go?

China. Scholarships can be used at any mainland Chinese institution approved by the Ministry of Education to accept foreign students.

 

What does it cost?

Full scholarships will cover tuition fees, accommodation, a monthly living stipend and medical insurance. There will also be partial scholarships available covering tuition fees and medical insurance.

Scholarships can be used for one-year programmes with tuition fees of 30,000 RMB/year or less. Take a look at the list of non-degree programmes.

 

How can I apply?

The deadline for applications is now closed. New dates will be released in 2014.

Application materials should be submitted to China Scholarship Council (CSC).

The British Council China Scholarship is funded by the British Council China and administered by the CSC. The initial application and selection process, including supporting applications to Chinese universities, is handled by CSC. Students already holding offers from Chinese universities can also apply. Candidates successful in reaching the final selection stage will be interviewed by the British Council.
