FameLab: communicating science

What is it about?

Are you over 21 and have recently graduated - or are currently working - in science, technology, engineering, medicine or maths in the UK?

Famelab is a regional competition that supports and encourages you to use the skills you have learnt by helping you communicate your work to others out there. The winners will be invited to travel and participate in a series of talks overseas.

This is an exciting and internationally recognised competition originally founded in the UK by the Cheltenham Festivals. Since then it has been expanded to over 25 countries worldwide due to its partnership with the British Council.

Where can I go?

If you make it to the final, you will then have a two day intensive masterclass. The actual location of these talks varies from year to year.

Furthermore Famelab will help you connect with other young researchers in a rapidly growing network of over 4,800 people throughout four continents.

Am I eligible?

To enter Famelab you must be:

  • over 21 years old
