We will use our arts programme to portray the issues facing diverse societies across Europe in unique and innovative ways.
A curated lens-based exhibition from eight of the region's emerging artists that illustrates the two themes of Living Together. The exhibition will be launched at the International Summit in March 2008, and then tour the artists' countries. For more information about taking part, please contact our Arts Officer, Emily Wilcox (you do not need to be currently residing in South East Europe or the UK to be eligible).
This online photography competition will be open to anyone from the countries that are taking part in Living Together. We will launch the competition mid-2008and entry details will be available early in the new year. Like the exhibition, the work will convey the project's two main themes. Winners will be announced at the Regional Congress March 2009.
We will also run a series of activities to bring together teachers, students and artists from local communities. These will include artist-led seminars, school-based debates, professional photography workshops and training sessions, and school tours. We will also commission student essays and work from local artists, who have responded to the ideas and issues raised by Living Together.
