Partnerships with the Middle East

The UK-Middle East School Partnerships Programme has been renamed Connecting Classrooms Middle East-UK in line with other school linking programmes run by the British Council.

Connecting Classrooms Middle East-UK aims to develop a pupil community which enjoys greater connection with peers overseas and develops an informed perception of their culture and aspirations.

The programme is a joint initiative between the British Council in the UK and our offices in Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.

We are engaging with ministries of education and other agencies in the region to encourage teachers and schools to access programme activities and to develop collaborative projects with UK partners. School leaders, teachers and students will be able to work together for mutual benefits.
