The visit was highly successful ... hard work but very enjoyable and stimulating for us all. Many thanks for all your support and efforts in making it possible - very much appreciated. LA group visit to Cataluña (Productive Use of ICT)
Each LA designates a co-ordinator for TIPD activity. They will manage local publicity and recruitment, agree the priority theme(s) for study visit groups, and act as main point of contact with us.. Find out who to contact (MS Excel) in your LA
A LA officer manages each Study Visit group's preparation, acts as leader for the visit, and co-ordinates reports and dissemination activities upon return.
The School Determined element of TIPD operates independently of the LA, although LAs may also promote and support these opportunities.
TIPD should contribute to professional development and school improvement. Teachers and group leaders should work together on their application and undertake SWOT analysis (MS Word) in preparation for the visit.
Groups must provide a post-visit report for dissemination purposes to their school(s), the co-ordinating LA and the British Council, four weeks after the activity has taken place.
Individual participants are required to complete an online questionnaire and instructions will be provided. Completion of this questionnaire also leads to the issue of a formal certificate by DCSF recording your involvement in the programme.
