Skills Partnerships Workshop
Seminars and Workshops

"I have never seen an organisation be so helpful in supporting partnership development as British Council."
Tayebeh Kazempour, Associate Director of International Partnerships, Hackney Community College, UK

British Council works proactively both with organisations not currently involved with our international skills partnerships and with those already engaged in partnerships. We are keen to involve more organisations in our international work to help deliver for them the considerable benefits that international partnerships can offer and at the same time enrich the partnership work that we facilitate. We also place great emphasis on helping our current partnerships to maximise the effectiveness and impact of their partnership work.

A key way that we do this is through our partnership seminars and workshops.

Skills Partnerships Workshop - Delivering Success through International Skills Partnerships

To register for one of the forthcoming Delivering Success workshops click here.

For organisations new to our skills partnership work we run one-day workshops called ‘Delivering Success through International Skills Partnerships’ aimed at de-mystifying British Council international skills partnerships. The workshops include practical, user-friendly sessions that explain how the partnership process works, how to write a successful partnership proposal and how to deliver a partnership project that delivers maximum short-term and long-term benefit.

Designed for members of staff who would have lead responsibility for international skills partnership projects, the workshops also provide guidance on specific current partnership opportunities.

On 27 and 28 June 2013 we held two fully subscribed workshops in London for UK colleges. Presentations from the workshops can be downloaded below.

We are planning three further workshops in autumn 2013, as follows:

  • 17 October, 11:00-17:00, Exeter College (to coincide with AoC SW International Business Managers’ network meeting)
  • 31 October, 10:00-16:00, West College Scotland, Clydebank Campus
  • 8 November, 10:00-16:00, Blackburn College.
