The British Council International Skills Partnership of the Year Award 2012 was won by the Egyptian Banking Institute and Craven College in the UK. Working in a very challenging political environment in Egypt, this outstanding partnership successfully built considerable capacity and developed effective new approaches in the Egyptian banking and finance sector, stimulated entrepreneurship, and identified new business opportunities for the partnership that helped to ensure its long-term sustainability. The partnership also embraced the opportunities presented by social media to engage young people and raise the profile of skills in Egypt.
The partnership is featured in this short film about British Council’s International Skills Work.
