The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) is responsible for Lifelong Learning in Saudi Arabia through its Lifelong Learning and Community Service Centres. These centres are usually attached to Vocational Colleges and they work jointly with colleges using their facilities and labs. In some parts of Saudi Arabia, the community centres are a stand-alone facility.
The objectives of the Lifelong Learning and Community Service Centres are to:

research and further studies, consultancy and continuing education to serve society and develop the relationship with TVTC |

familiarise themselves with the training and educational needs of society to enable TVTC to formulate sound polices and practices that meet society’s requirements |

 |
 |
work to provide opportunities for members of society to continue their education and training, and to benefit from the advancement of technology by providing programmes that cater for the different sectors of society. |
The day to day tasks of centres are to:

organise technical and vocational training programmes and packages that meet the needs of both the public and private sectors |
 |
 |
 |
conduct research on behalf of private and public organisations |
 |
 |
 |
carry out technical and vocational consultancy |
 |
 |
 |
organise symposiums and seminars that are relevant to general TVTC goals and serve the different specialisations within TVTC. |
