	POLICY DIALOGUE ACTIVITIES

Have a look at some of our policy dialogue activities during 2011-2012 and see how we bring together international agencies, governments and education institutions to work together to improve skills and employability.

			Skills for Employability 5th Advisory Forum in UAE took a place on 14 October 2012 in Abu Dhabi. Considering previous feedbacks from last forums, the theme of the meeting focused on introducing ’Matrix standard’ and ‘Career Guidance’.
			A study tour to the UK for Senior Skills delegation from the Sindh and Punjab Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority was organised by British Council in partnership with the International Organisation of Labour. As a result of this visit, a Letter of Intent was signed aiming to aid the setting up of competency based curricula and collection of labour market intelligence.

			UK team celebrates impressive medal win at WorldSkills London 2011 The UK team has come away from the world’s largest and most spectacular skills competition with an admirable total of 24 medals, including 4 golds.
