The key bodies involved in vocational education and training in Nepal are:

The Ministry of Education
The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT)
The National Skill Testing Board (NSTB) - assesses and classifies occupations, develops occupational skill standards, conducts skill tests and certifies successful candidates
The Training Institute for Technical Instruction (TITI) - provides training for trainers, technical instructors, managers and curriculum development specialists
The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) - works on promoting business and industry while protecting the rights and interests of business and industrial communities, FNCCI plays a key role in promoting business and industry in the country.
The British Foreign and Commonwealth Office – has provided aid to Nepal
The British Council – offers services in six cities in Nepal
The UK Department for International Development (DFID) – supports projects in Nepal, including programmes focused on basic / primary education
UNESCO – supports Community Learning Centres promoting lifelong learning
The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) – Nepal’s largest aid donor, JICA is promoting vocational skills and encouraging the construction of more VET schools
The Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA) – Nepal’s second largest aid donor, DANIDA provided DKK 65m for education projects in 2005
The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) – is increasing rates of female participation in training through the Canada Nepal Gender in Organisations Project
The Asian Development Bank – supports education reform through projects such as Secondary Education Support, Skills for Employment, Education Sector Development, Governance Reform and a Decentralisation Programme
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) – supports a youth education programme that includes vocational education
The World Bank – has provided US$ 55m loans /credits for education, focused on Community Schools support and child literacy.
