Kuwait

Positioned at the head of the Gulf of Arabia, Kuwait owns around 9% of the world’s oil reserves.

Labour market reforms aim to revitalise private sector employment, and these changes drive the need for job skilling and re-skilling. Most Kuwaitis still work in the public sector. With a growing population of young people, creating educational opportunities has never been so important.

Qualifications and Accreditation

Qualifications in Kuwait are accredited by PAAET, and the various bodies who award the qualifications. There is no official qualifications framework or national Kuwaiti vocational qualification. The move to produce skills standards is seen as the first step in this direction.
