Quality Assurance
Skills around the World: Jordan

The agencies responsible for quality assurance in Jordan are the The new Employment Technical Vocational Education and Training (E-TVET) Council for Accreditation and Quality Assurance and the Centre for Accreditation for Higher Education.

The three main challenges in improving quality assurance for skills education in Jordan are:

Establishing level descriptors
Accrediting providers
Accrediting awarding bodies.

As yet, quality assurance structures in Jordan are not highly developed. However, the Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) has developed modular-based curricula, outcomes, learning outcomes and specific learning outcomes. Al Balqa’ Applied University also has a quality assurance unit and conducts periodic reviews of its systems and programmes.
