Skills around the World: Egypt

The TVET reform programme is aiming to establish a national quality assurance system for the standardisation, accreditation and certification of TVET institutions and personnel, jointly with:

The National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE)
The Egyptian Organisation for Standardisation and Quality (EOS)/ The Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC)
The National Quality Programme.

This agreement is the basis for a national system to make sure that the quality of training, training institutions and training personnel will be improved following international standards.

More than 400 training providers have been audited through this new system and studies for mapping companies and industrial sectors (50-60% of mapping) have been carried out.
