A student passing SSC (Voc) courses can pursue further education in the technical and vocational education stream or the general stream, or can enter the job market as an NSS Grade II skilled worker. The entry requirement for SSC (Voc) is eight years of successful schooling in the general stream of education.
A student who has achieved the HSC (Voc) qualification can pursue further education in the technical, engineering and general streams of education or can enter the job market as an NSS Grade I, highly skilled worker.
A student who has achieved the HSC (BM) qualification can pursue further education in the general stream, especially in the business education area, or can enter the job market for lower level office and related management activities.
HSC (Voc and BM) graduates can take post-secondary level diplomas at polytechnic institutes and then enter the labour market.
