In Bahrain, Technical Secondary Education has played a pioneering role in offering vocational guidance for secondary school students, with each technical secondary school having its own careers guidance office. The Ministry of Labour offers specialist careers guidance for jobseekers, and major private training providers also have career guidance and counselling services.
Vocational guidance has become a cornerstone of the teaching-learning process in Bahrain’s technical schools.

Guidance includes activities inside and outside of the classroom, and aims to help students develop psychologically, academically, socially and physically. |

Guidance helps students to discover their own aptitudes, interests and abilities, and therefore to identify the specialist fields which best suit them. |
Guidance services within Technical Education start at intermediate schools and continue through school years and up to graduation to help students prepare for work or university.
