Skills for Employability support partnerships that focus on developing education and training programmes to meet the needs of local and global industry. To date, we have facilitated partnerships that have increased employer engagement, encouraged entrepreneurship, encouraged student exchanges and developed new qualifications and quality assurance systems.
We work in partnership with government agencies and employers in the countries we are active to ensure that projects make an impact at a national level and have strong links to employability.
According to the recently published report, ‘Building skills, building partnerships’ British Council international partnership projects have resulted in significant benefits to those within the partnerships, as well as other key stakeholders; from employers to parents. These benefits go beyond increased student recruitment and consultancy opportunities, and many projects have enabled the partners to build strong relationships with industry and within their communities, and to increase the credibility of their offer and their institutions.
Read our collection of case studies to see what some partnerships have achieved.
