Dialogue objectives
This dialogue tackled global issues facing the creative industries and looked to inform policy and practice developments in the UK and countries in East Asia through sharing key issues in education and employability between senior educationalists and policy leaders within the creative industries. More specifically, dialogue delegates centred their discussions on the following:

Policy drivers and key players
Developing the creative industries, including:

The role of education in supporting the creative industries.
The role of industry in up-skilling the creative industries workforce.
Improving models of partnership and knowledge exchange across business and education.

Practical approaches
Developing relevant and appropriate learning opportunities, including:

Encouraging leadership and entrepreneurship in the creative industries – promoting international competitiveness.
Developing business and entrepreneurial skills.
Signposting progression routes and improving career information.

Examples of key initiatives from UK and the region

Opportunities to showcase relevant initiatives.
How we can learn from each other.
How education, industry and governments can work together to support the creative industries.
