Employability and Entrepreneurship in Higher Education: the UK-China Experience

Operating within the context of a global knowledge economy, Universities are developing multi-level internationalisation strategies, of which employability and entrepreneurship form important strands. This event took place in London on 18 June 2009, and addressed employability and entrepreneurship by considering how the UK and China can work together and lead in these areas. Speakers from both countries offered their perspectives and case studies were introduced from current PMI2 Connect-funded partnerships to discuss how institutions are working together towards mutually beneficial outcomes. A new round of funding for ‘China-UK Collaborative Partnerships in Employability and Entrepreneurship’ was launched, and the PMI2 Connect judging panel was on hand to answer questions about applications.
