Fulbright Teacher Exchange

Designed in 1924, the Fulbright UK/US Teacher Exchange programme is run by the British Council in collaboration with the US Department of State.  Each academic year, around twenty teachers from the UK have the opportunity to conduct research, study, live and work in the USA for up to one academic year.

What is Fulbright UK/US Teacher Exchange?
Interested in spending an autumn term or a full academic year teaching in the United States?  You can gain valuable international teaching experience, immerse yourself in a different culture and even earn 60 credits towards a Master's Degree.  Find out about the Fulbright UK/US Teacher Exchange programme, the application process and accreditation.
Application Deadline

The deadline has now been extended to Thursday 20 December 2012.

Tea party for Fulbright Exchange teacher

The Peleg Gorton Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution hosted a tea party on 11 August 2012 to welcome the UK Fulbright Exchange teacher Morna Saville who has swapped jobs for a year with US teacher JJ Marafioti.

Morna will be teaching English and drama at Winfield High School (Kansas) this year while J.J. Marafioti will be teaching Drama in Gosport (England).
