EPA PROJECT MANAGERS' WORKSHOP, 23 NOVEMBER 2009

EPA Project Managers will meet later this month at Manchester's Novotel Conference Centre to discuss best practice for successful partnerships. We are encouraging all UK EPA partners to come along and discuss any issues and share experiences to promote wider uptake of successful approaches to international partnerships.

Wide interest has already been registered from both the Higher and Further Education sectors involved in EPA. The event is open only to actives partners however we hope to publish some of the key outcomes and proceedings from this event in the New Year.

If you are an EPA partner who has not yet registered interest and would like to participate please contact epa@britishcouncil.org

EPA ROUND 3

EPA Round 3 is now closed to FE/HE applicants in England and Northern Ireland. If any further opportunities come up under EPA they will be posted on the 'Applying for' page of the EPA website.

HE/FE PARTNER FINDING

The Africa Unit have a dedicated partner finding website which holds data on

Existing UK-Africa HE/FE partners
Funding Schemes relevant to UK-Africa partnerships

This includes a ‘Search for a Partner’ facility allowing UK and African institutions to provide information about their institutions and to search for potential partners.

Visit http://www.ukafricapartnerships.org or contact the Africa Unit directly at partnerships@acu.ac uk for help with locating partners in your country and field of interest.

The DelPHE programme also offers an online partner finding database.

Please note that at present only higher education institutions will be able to register. Areas of interest are confined to DelPHE relevant themes and subject areas which are of relevance to helping to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

You must initially register and then you will be able to view other institution's areas of interest and contact details. For more information please contact the DelPHE team.

If you are searching for potential partners British Council offices in the African country of interest may also be able to assist you.
